Mrs. Gloria Ricard Aponte joined J. Jaramillo Insurance in 2012 as an Underwriting Supervisor bringing technical expertise, passion and executing direct guidance on the JJI team that handles the New Business, Government and Condominium accounts.

Mrs. Ricard leverages her almost 30 years of experience in insurance to assist fellow supervisors in renewals, large accounts and policy distribution. She uses her deep knowledge in insurance, in both personal and commercial lines, to guide agents’ & brokers’ discussions on the placement process. She is recognized as a strong team leader, an innovator in sales strategies and for bringing a high level of energy to her work.

Mrs. Ricard started her insurance experience working for an insurance broker as Office Manager, supervising commercial and personal lines, claims, and bonds. Later on, she joined another leading local insurance broker and for 10 years, she was a Senior Account Executive in charge of Commercial Large Lines & Government accounts. In 2007, prior to joining JJI, Mrs. Ricard joined Popular Insurance as a Commercial Underwriting Supervisor responsible for New Business, Large Lines & Condominiums. In addition, she prepared and analyzed monthly performance metrics and monitored client satisfaction.

Mrs. Ricard holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico where she graduated Cum Laude. She is an Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).
